Infiltration trenches

Designing infiltration/drainage trenches with OSMORIA Geoclean® aquatextile represents a means of systematically treating infiltrated water over the long term to eliminate hydrocarbons and PAHs.

What are the benefits of OSMORIA Geoclean in infiltration trenches?

Clean infiltration: OSMORIA Geoclean depolluting aquatextile treats 100% of infiltrated rainwater.

Inexpensive, easy installation.

Product performance selected according to the quantity of hydrocarbons collected.

The ideal stormwater management solution when space is limited.

Infiltration trenches are shallow, linear structures filled with gravel-type materials to create an underground reservoir for temporary storage of stormwater runoff. Stormwater is fed either via pipes or by direct runoff. Once in the trench, the runoff infiltrates through the walls and flows into the surrounding soil, before infiltrating (infiltration trenches) and/or being discharged at a limited rate to a defined outlet (drainage trenches).

Thanks to their narrow design, they can be installed in areas where space is limited, enabling the entire volume of rainwater to be stored and then infiltrated in the event of small storms. They are suitable for collecting rainwater from a small catchment area, enabling retention, depollution and local infiltration.

Infiltration trenches reduce the risk of flooding and recharge groundwater, while blending harmoniously into the environment. They can be built in urban and suburban areas, alongside parking lots, railroads and roads, or on building sites.

Since hydrocarbon pollution is carried significantly and constantly by runoff, this stormwater management solution must include treatment of this pollution to infiltrate depolluted stormwater.
