Permeable pavements

Designing permeable parking lots or roadways with OSMORIA Indigreen aquatextile provides a long-term solution for systematically treating infiltrated water, removing hydrocarbons and PAHs.

What are the benefits of OSMORIA Indigreen under permeable pavements?

Clean infiltration: OSMORIA Indigreen’s depolluting aquatextile treats 100% of rainwater infiltrating through the permeable pavement.

Independence from stormwater management networks.

Aligned with ecological transition policies.

Consistent performance across all rainfall intensities.

Protection against soil pollution in case of accidental hydrocarbon spills.

Permeable pavements are an effective solution for managing stormwater runoff

Most cities are not designed to cope with the impacts of climate change. As floods and heat waves become more frequent, cities need to adapt. One of the first steps is to desilt soil to preserve its natural infiltration capacity and improve its breathability.

Roads and parking lots account for a significant portion of impermeable surfaces. Measures such as reducing road widths, creating soft paths, introducing planted parking lots, and using permeable pavements are effective solutions.

Permeable parking lots or roadways can be constructed using various techniques. Permeable surfacing consists of materials, either natural or artificial, that cover urban surfaces. Options include concrete slabs, grass slabs, draining paving stones, and honeycomb systems. Regardless of the pavement type, these solutions ensure user comfort during rainy periods by quickly evacuating water, maintaining ground stability, and preventing mud formation.

Switching from impermeable to permeable pavements is a powerful method for improving local rainwater management and desilting urban areas. The benefits include:

Reducing flood risks

Recharging groundwater and managing water resources more effectively

Mitigating urban heat islands
